I’m so happy you’re here reading my poetry. Today I’m sharing a piece from a longer poem that will be in my book this Autumn. You can read it and/or listen to me reading it and playing a bit accompanying guitar.
The book is a collection around growth and love with life’s lessons in between. Title still unknown. I’m very excited for this process; I allow it to unfold and show me what it wants to express through me.
Love Is The Ruin We Leave Behind In our glass bobble of belonging so violently to each other that flowers have no choice but to bow their heads in admiration and birds have no choice but to sing all of our unwritten stories these powdery clouds soft cushions beneath our feet pretending not to know gravity pretending not to know we have been together like this for eternity spinning around each other’s orbits invisibly intertwined for love is the ruin we leave behind.
With love,
Victoria
